These shears cut through everything in the kitchen and many other things around the house, especially that difficult-to-open plastic packaging like that surrounding batteries. Highly recommended! I would recommend model #2710, though, above these, the #2706, as they're a bit larger and more versatile.

The good qualities are already portrayed by the other reviews, so i am just gonna talk about the inconveniences.
1. it only works well when its dry. The 2 blades are almost have no gap b/t them, assuming it was designed that way to "self-sharpen". When the shears gets wet. there is too much friction b/t the blades that it gets stuck very often, and awkward to use.
2. The shears will be better off with a locking mechanism instead of a cap. The cap does not allow the water to evaporate completely so you have to dry the shears completely to stow it. having a cap also means you need 2 hands to open up the shears and 2 hands to lock it, which is a huge inconvenience when working a busy kitchen.
3. the shears seem hard to take apart, which means thorough cleaning will be difficult.
other than that, great shears. strongly suggested

Only drawback is the plastic sleeve is hard to get on and off. Will loosen up with more use. Cuts great!!
